Meet Lindsay.... I Mean MR. Lindsay!

Maybe people mistake me for Lindsay's wife because we are like family. He teases me more than my older brother. Gives me almost as good of advice as my dad. Spoils my kids more than my mom. And, my sisters can rest assured that every outfit, hair style and make-up choice I make is thoroughly critiqued...... he even tells me if something makes me look fat!

So, without further ado, meet the man of the hour....... the center of attention....... the one and only...... Mr. Lindsay! Here's what he had to say in his own words:

Because of numerous requests and some brow beating, here are 25 random things about me:

1- In High School I went by my middle name which is Dean. Why did I go back to Lindsay. I moved my senior year and didn't want to go the trouble. I know......Lindsay's a girls name!
2- I once won a "Fonzie" Look-a-like Contest.

(I think he looks more like Mitt Romney than The Fonz!)
3- I like growing Garlic and Grapes. I think it has something to do with the letter "G".
4- I have actually met someone else with my same name. I didn't believe it until "SHE" showed me her Drivers License.
5- When staying at a hotel, I make the bed, empty the garbages, put everything in order. See OCD.
6-I am very easy going but.... I do not tolerate arrogance or disrespect. If someone is that way I have this habit of "mocking" them to their face. Were all just people folks!
7- I once hired a singing group to go to the bowling alley where my wife was on a league team bowling to deliver a dozen roses and have them sing to her. Needless to say, every other husband from the league couldn't top that.
8- I lived in Italy as a child.
9- My wife and I once had a Jam and Jelly Business where we made flavors like, Huckleberry Raspberry, Elderberry, ChokeCherry, Dandelion, Rose and many, many more.
10- I was named after one of Bing Crosby's sons. Now my age is telling.
11- I am ADD and OCD and would not have it any other way.
12- I love mowing my lawn and washing clothes. I like folding towels, but that's it. See the OCD above.
13- I'm good at predicting early on the winner of American Idol. I call it a "Super Power".
14- When my wife and I first got married we rented a home on a ranch and I raised two bum lambs in our unfinished basement. I would get up in the middle of the night and feed them two or three times. My wife kids me that I didn't even do that with any of our children. Needlless to say, after insuring that they would live, and raising them to be quite large animals. While out of town- my in-laws had them both slaughtered and ate them. Tina and Charlie......... boy do I miss them! I hear they were tasty though!
15- My bed has to be made before I will sleep in it. I can't sleep in an unmade bed.
16- I'm allergic to shellfish. It looks rather tasty, but have you seen "Hitch?"
17- I collect Baseball Cards and Memorabilla.
18- I was the shyest kid in High School. I don't know what happened. Now you can't shut me up.
19- I can sing all of the words to "Back in Black" by AC/DC. No - not the worlds next "American Idol."
20- The town i grew up in CA is the where they filmed the movie American Graffiti, Peggy Sue got married, and is where Mrs. Grossman's is located.

21- I like learning about people. The books I read, the shows I watch, or just talking to them.
22- I like simple things. Riding bikes, going for a hike, being around people.
23- I love Chocolate dipped Ice Cream cones. They are yummy and reminds me of when I was a kid. My mom used to buy them for us after a trip to the park. I also love the smell of Eucaliptus Tree's and the Golden Gate Bridge.
24- I do comedy and don't do drama
25- I went to 11 different schools growing up.

Congratulations Wendy @ 8:14. You are today's lucky winner. Send your address to kristen@cosmocricket.com and let her know what Paper Crafting Kit you would like.

Mr. Lindsay said...

We sold tons of Chokecherry. That is something that you grandparents are probably familiar with.

My persoanl favorite was "Strawberry Rose" jelly. It had a Rose aroma and tasted like strawberries. Great mix!

Mr. Lindsay~ some very interesting random facts about you!
I have lived in Petaluma, CA since 1993... you had probably already moved away by then?

CONGRATULATIONS WENDY!! WOOHOO!! The prize couldn't go to a nicer lady!! Yippee for her!

OK, love this. A very interesting list. I cut the grass all summer long, and I do not enjoy it. Do you have a riding lawn mower? Do you bag it and empty it? I'll tell you, it's exhausting, and I don't like doing it! I do not have a self-propelled lawn mower, and I don't mulch. I collect and empty it all. Tiring!

I'm going to NEED your AI prediction, because I actually find that hard to believe. Are you telling me that you PICKED Taylor Hicks as the winner OVER Chris Daughtry? That's shocking! And Jordin Sparks? No way! I'll be looking forward to your American Idol post!!

runrgirl said...

thanks for playing along....love your list Mr. Lindsay

wendy said...

Oh YUM...chokecherry jelly is the BEST.

Thank you guys SO much!

I love reading these little insights to your guys :) Folding towels actually is a lot of fun. It's the putting away that is the bugger. (fellow OCD'er)

if you people are trying to scare us away, it ain't gonna work!

OCD rocks...ADD scares me...and i am unable to ask you to be my friend on facebook...cause i have this thing...can't ask people to be my friend cause i fear rejection...but, thanks for the offer...

#20 Would that be Petaluma? I grew up in Santa Rosa...small world. Ah yes the smell of Eucalyptus trees, it makes me remember home and the SF Zoo and driving the back way from Petaluma to Sonoma on hwy 20, one of the prettiest drives on earth.

Hi, Mr. Lindsay, nice to get to know a little more about ya! Love #7 - romance at the bowling alley, how cool is that?!
I did the same name thing with our son, Tracy. Growing up I knew a boy named Tracy, while I was pregnant I'd drive by Tracy Collins Bank (very manly sounding I thought) and heck, the name means "protector" so of course it's a great name for my son! So we move back to California and find it's become a girl's name. (Dang Partridge Family!) Anyway, my son kept his name too so kudos to both of you! BTW, a guy once told Tracy that guys with girl names are either buff or funny. Looking Tracy over he concluded, "You must be hilarious!" (He is.)

Lots of us picked Taylor Hicks (Prime Rib) over Chris Daughtry(Big Mac - Bazillions sold)during the season 5 auditions. We still prefer quality over quantity.

Mr Lindsay, great to know all those exciting things...but I think my husband has you beat on the romantic thing...he once surprised me with a trip to Crested Butte..had a limo pick me up before I was to go to work, with the driver handing me a luggage bag with a note to pack "Warm clothing" (we live in Houston so warm clothing is not something we wear every day), anyway, I only had about 5 minutes to pack, change clothes and get in the limo...there he was with Roses and off we went to the airport...still didn't know where we were going. it was a great surprise. However, he blew out his knee skiing and we weren't there 24 hours before having to come back home. Took several months to recover. Somehow I got cheated out of that deal.

First of all a husband, a wise one anyhow, would NEVER tell his wife she looks fat. Unless he likes the doghouse. That alone is clear evidence that Lindsay is not the hubby. (LOL)

Ok- I can TOTALLY see the Fonz in that HS photo, and he and my son would probably love to hang together and clean and organize everything so it is just right. (LOL) (A little OCD is never a bad thing IMO - glad somebody cleans this house!)

I hope Mr. Lindsay is full of hot air. I work tonight and don't get home until 9 central...I hope he is still chatting at S4Life as I SOOO have a question to ask him!

Corey said...

that was fun to read! I know it bothers some people - but I'd love a bit of OCD, I might get my bed made more often!

and I'm sorry about the lambs. that was mean.
