Completely Random Thoughts

Happy Friday the 13th and almost Valentine's Day everyone!

Completely Random Thought #1.
Do you remember the candles I did last Halloween with the rub-ons? Well, I was at the local dollar store and they had some candles. I never resist a thrifty bargain, so I snatched one up that would match with a nicer candle I already owned. Then I took these two candles, dressed them up with ribbons, a rub-on and an element and ta-da, the perfect centerpiece for a bridal shower!

Completely Random Thought #2.
My daughter needed to make a Valentine box for school Wednesday evening. I got her tons of Hey Sugar and Chemistry paper, die-cuts and stickers. She was so excited about how her box was turning out as she completely plastered every inch of it and was certain that her's was going to be the best in the entire class. Well, when she got home I asked her how her friends liked the box. She said that they all liked it except for one girl (her rival) who told her it was "stupid." I asked her what she said to that...... insert here that I have THEEEEEE best kids....... she said, "I told her it couldn't be stupid, it's made with Cosmo Cricket products!"

Completely Random Thought #3.
So, I was filling out a yes/no quiz about myself for fun this morning. I came to a question that read, "Have you ever tripped over mushrooms." My answer, "No, how can you trip over a mushroom? Even I'm not that clumsy." I just want you all to know that the true meaning of tripping over mushrooms has been brought to my attention and I am now just a tiny bit less sheltered than I was before.

oh my...I was right with you and then it hit me what the real meaning was to the tripping...

That girl of yours is a keeper:)

I understand. My car got stolen and the police recovered it (actually they ran the dude into a farm/tractor store here he wrecked it). One officer told me there was a "crack" pipe in the back. I proceded to tell him he was certainly wrong because my tail pipe was not "cracked" when the car was stolen.

Your candles are so pretty - I'll have to remember that idea - what a lovely little gift that would make.

See, it just goes to show that you must "start em young, and train em up right" Sounds like you are well on your way with your little sweetie!

My son recently took cupcakes for his birthday and was so hurt when he saw one in the trash. He just could not understand why the other child took the cupcake if they didnt want it! Not logical to him, LOL.

Love the candle too!

Great candles, your daughter is adorable and very smart, and the meaning of "tripping" as falling would have come to me first too! After thinking about it, the other meaning would have popped into my head.

The candles are great!

#2 What a sweetheart.

#3 I would have answered the same way. My first thought when I read the question was gnomes! My mind went to a completely different place.

I will have to admit, although I never have tripped over a mushroom, I would have know what they were talking about! Being a child growing up in the 60's, you learned alot of stuff you probably shouldn't have!!

BTW, love the candle!!

BWAHAHAHAHA! I love the mushroom comment! I am a little less sheltered now, too - your answer to the question made complete sense to me until I read the last line of your post. Thanks for the belly laugh!

lol..okay on 3#, I do know how you can trip over actual mushrooms because I have came very close to it. There are wild mushrooms that grow under the front of my fifth wheel trailer (and yes I am in Utah so it was a shock to me)...so that is what I was thinking about, and then also had to think a minute about the other way that one could "trip" over mushrooms. Oh my heck, we must lead sheltered lives around these parts to think of literal tripping!

Ok, guess I learned something today! I never heard of that question, but ah yeah...now I get it. (LOL)
The candles indeed make a pretty centerpiece - WTG! I like how your daughter stepped up in response instead of stooping to the level of the other girl.
